This role would be ideal for a highly motivated person wishing to qualify as a UK chartered trade mark attorney, looking to join one of the UK's most forward-thinking intellectual property firms.

Responsibilities would include, but would not be limited to, assisting with:
Conducting IP audits;
Conducting and reporting trade mark clearance searches;
Advising clients on domestic and global trade mark and design filing strategies;
The preparation and filing of applications for trade marks and designs, including drafting appropriate specifications;
Advising on the use and availability of trade marks;
Advising clients on and responding to registry objections;
Reviewing watch service results and advising on potential third party conflicts;
Advising clients on opposition, invalidation and revocation actions and responding to the same;
Drafting and sending cease and desist letters / LBAs;
Advising clients on trade mark use, maintenance and renewal of registrations;
All IP matters as necessary (including IP litigation, due diligence, etc);
With formalities as and when required;
With business development and marketing.
Role Requirements
A minimum 2:1 degree either in Law or another subject.
Experience as a trade mark paralegal would be preferable but not essential.
Experience of assisting with the handling of trade mark and design filing and prosecution.
Experience of working on international trade mark and design portfolios.
Excellent attention to detail, deadline management, organisational, skills, and a proactive and methodical attitude to work processes.
Experience of assisting with large-scale searching and filing projects.

A structured training programme will be provided for the successful candidate along with funding for the professional qualifications subject to certain conditions.
